Most likely, you posted your profile at MoreWithUs.com or possibly applied to an everyday job, a part-time job, or a full time. Then you get that email you’ve been looking for, an employer offers you a job interview! What do you do next? Employers have already seen your profile and read your resume, but they want to be impressed in their interviews; they want to see why you are different and how you could have a lasting impact for their company. Here are three simple tips to better prepare yourself for a job interview.

  1. Preparation- Before entering the interview you must be prepared. Researching the company and the job you’re being interviewed for is extremely important. You should know about the interviewers and have great examples of your work ready to share with the interviewers. Your goal is to impress them and give them a reason to want you for their company.
  2. Impression- Leave a good impression when interviewing for a job, wear the right attire, make sure you are looking clean and tidy. You want to present yourself with the right body language; sit up straight and smile throughout the interview. Employers will feel much more comfortable and happy interviewing that kind of person.
  3. Authenticity- When you act authentic during an interview it makes things a lot easier for yourself. Don’t lie or exaggerate trying to impress the interviewer. Being genuine will make things a lot easier for you to speak freely and relate to the interviewer.

Once you get that opportunity through your MoreWithUs Everyday Jobs profile make sure to show up to that interview prepared. Follow these simple tips and you should have no problem putting yourself in a great spot for a new job!
